Abstract

This article is devoted to the investigation of French attributive nouns and to the review of the peculiarities of their use. Attributive nouns are quite numerous in the system of word-formation in the modern French language. Models of forming of new words by means of conversion are becoming more and more ingenious in the course of time and confirm interaction of such spheres of human cognition as linguistics, psychology, sociology, philosophy, history and ethnography.
