Abstract

Finding out the culturological component gives the opportunity to identify and to localize the lingual source of culturological markedness through the analysis of the structure, the meaning and the situational reference of an allusion. The data of the research show, that the cultural property of a lingual sign is connected to the pragmatic layer of the language unit meaning which serve the allusion realization in J. Fowles’ literary discourse.
