Abstract

Poetic prayer occurred at the intersection of religious and secular consciousness and initially sought to comply with the laws of the canonical prayers. Exploration of the personal prayers of the XVIII century leads to the conclusion that his genre features for the time are relying on the canonical texts of the prayers, the obligatory elements of the composition (the address, the contents of the request, reasons for request), axiological orientation and the presence of old Church Slavonic elements in speech.
