The term “modality” functions in various fields of science: logic, philosophy, linguistics, literary criticism, etc. In linguistics, the semantic category of modality conveys the speaker’s attitude to the content of his statement, target instruction, and the relationship of the content of the statement to reality. This article examines certain ways of expressing modality in political discourse, where the modality of political discourse can be considered, among other things, as an ideological aspect that models a special reality.
