Abstract
This article deals with the concept of metaphor, the role of metaphor in poetry, the peculiarities of translation into other languages and its influence on the psychological state of a person, their creative thinking and on the perception of the world around them. At the same time, the difficulties of metaphor translation on concrete examples in famous poems and their influence on text interpretation are analyzed, and the most effective strategies for their solution are revealed.
