Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of reflection patterns in professional discourse of linguistic thinking categories. The analysis made it possible to formulate the principles of categorical study, including: the unity of language and thinking; dualism of categories differentiation: at the level of words – the reflection of the result of classifying activity of consciousness, on the one hand, and at the level of the text – the embodiment of ways of understanding scientific knowledge, on the other hand; the use of three criteria for identifying the types of professional discourse categories. Among them are the following: the criterion of the ontology of the described phenomena, the criterion of the normative rules of linguistic structuring, the criterion of the conditions of the communicative situation.
