The concept “star” in the Chuvash linguoculture

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept «star», which plays an important part in the Chuvash linguoculture. As exemplified by the Chuvash paremiological units and literary works there some conceptual, axiological and figurative components of the concept «star» have been selected. The conceptual component of the concept reflect the entry. The value able component of the concept reflects the dictionary entries. All the values and accepted standard of conduct in a particular community compose the axiological component of the concept. Considering the studies of V. I. Karasik, the author identifies such axiological components of the concept «star» as supermoral, moral and utilitarian. The figurative component of the concept «star» is expressed with the help of metaphors.
