Abstract

The article deals with the constitutive properties of German nominal new compounds. Features with respect to their nominative potential, semantic volume, textual collocation are investigated. To analyze semantic relations between the first and second element of a complex word syntactic transformations are used. In some cases, contextual conditions are taken into account. Functioning in the texts of newsletters, the studied words are designed to have a certain impact on the recipients, depending on the communicative circumstances.
