Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of approaches to the interpretation of the status of pronouns in the system of parts of speech in the works of domestic and foreign linguists. There are three approaches to determining the categorical characteristics of pronouns based on the material of different languages (Latin, Russian, English, German and French).
