Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the linguistic mechanisms underlying the emotional perception of literary texts. It is established that the emotional impact function is not only realized in conjunction with the aesthetic function but also represents its consequence, and can be either intentional or non-intentional. Emotional potential is created through the formal, structural, and/or semantic features of the linguistic units used, as well as the super-signs of the literary text (compositional elements, plot details, etc.), which enhance this effect.
