Abstract

This work is dedicated to typological differences between emigrant military and Cossack periodicals. Ethnic and class elements are the main typological feature of Cossack press. They determined a content of editions. Comparative-typological analysis shows that emigrant military and Cossack press are successors of different pre-revolutionary editions, which are differed by goals, targeting, topics. Free Cossack movement is widespread among Cossacks, which has no analogues in the military. This movement had its own press.
