Abstract


The article analyzes the main characteristics of the linguistic manipulation, which contains such specifics as a persuasion with the help of using linguistic means, this persuasion has a hidden character and the addressee is considered as a skillful communicant. One of the phonetic means which is concerned to the linguistic manipulation is the intonation. The intonation regulated from the speaker expresses his emotions and feelings. It can influence the hearer and lead to the successful manipulative act.
