Abstract

Compared to the traditionally used in physiology and psychology concepts, Helmholtz, which is based on the understanding of cognitive processes originally come from sensations, in the theory of perception John Gibson sensations are not carriers of information about the subject of reality. In his theory of the substantive reality is represented by a structure of “information system”. We believe that a similar process may in certain cases complement the leading role of the senses, and based on the emerging holistic perception, which are scientifically proved by H. Helmholtz.
