Abstract

The given article is devoted to the indirect speech act of reproach and deals with the structural, semantic and pragmatic peculiarities of dialogic/discourse reiteration within the communicative tactics of indirect disapproval in German and Russian literary texts. The linguistic analysis is based on the strategic approach to the communication and includes transmitting the speaker’s intention of reproach/indirect disapproval through verbal and nonverbal means. Special attention is given to discourse markers such as particles, interjections, elliptical structures, syntax violation etc.
