Abstract

The article attempts to clarify the main theoretical aspects (goals, instruments, priorities) of economic policy, analyze the current economic situation in the country, determine the necessity and direction of correction of fiscal and monetary policy mechanisms. The fiscal policy of the Russian Federation should be relaxed so that, in the context of macroeconomic instability, it does not come into conflict with the stimulating monetary policy of the state.
