Abstract


In the article we present results of hydrodynamic study of flows in the process of sulfuric acid alkylation in a contactor reactor. This process has a number of installations that differ in the method of heat removal. Keeping the temperature in the correct range is fundamental to determining the efficiency of the entire installation. Therefore, the analysis of the behavior of flows inside the reactor is an important step in order to improve the efficiency of the installations. As a result of modeling, it is possible to achieve good heat transfer and mixing by reducing the stagnant zones in the reaction zone.
