Abstract


The countries of Central Asia occupy a strategic geographical position between Russia, China, Transcaucasia with access to Turkey, Afghanistan and Pakistan with access to the Aravian Sea. The sectoral structure of the economy, along with the geographic location of the region, make it an arena for new competitive strategies for the dominance of natural and territorial resources. The features of foreign trade, the features of the sectoral structure of the economies of countries from the standpoint of the interaction of the region with such a geopolitical and geo-economic player as China, from the standpoint of the formation of Russian interests of influence in this region.
