The article considers the legal framework ensuring the environmental and economic security of Russia. Threats to the ecological and economic security are identified, their economic and legal analysis is carried out. The necessity of applying a systematic approach at all levels of government of the Russian Federation is shown to minimize the identified threats, as well as to pursue an active policy by the state to the promotion of ideas of protecting and preserving the environment.
